John-Michael Breen, a native of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, began performing with youth and community theaters around the southern New Hampshire area at age of six, including Actorsingers, StageCoach Productions, and Peacock Players. Peacock Players credits include: Peter Pan, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Little Women the Musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Wiz, and the New Hampshire premiere of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, among others.
Upon graduation from high school, JM attended the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. He graduated summa cum laude in with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts. While at school, he trained and worked alongside such artists as Patrick Cassidy, Alan Stanford, Billy Hartung, Karla Boos, and F. Murray Abraham.
JM moved to New York City in 2015, to further pursue a career in performing arts. He has since found success working across the country (and home in New England) with North Shore Music Theatre, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Jenny Wiley Theatre, and The Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Favorite credits include: The Burnt Part Boys (Pete), RED (Ken), Lost In Yonkers (Jay), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena), Dracula (Renfield), The Robber Bridegroom (Little Harp), The Graduate (Benjamin), and multiple productions of both Peter and the Starcatcher (Ted, Slank/Hawking Clam) and The Rocky Horror Show (Riff Raff, Eddie).
JM is currently appearing in the 10th Anniversary North American tour of Rock of Ages, as Lonny. He is endlessly grateful to Peacock Players as they continue to provide worthwhile theatre arts education for artists of all ages.
