Technical Difficulties Comedy Improv Troupe

AUDITIONS

Auditions will be held by virtual appointment only on Saturday, September 12th between 10:00am and 2:00pm

TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES Improv Comedy Troupe

Auditions are open for high school students between 14-18 years of age. In order to comply with NH and CDC Guidelines regarding safe social-distancing protocols due to the outbreak of COVID-19, limited troupe positions are available this season.

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS

This year, due to the pandemic, all students interested in auditioning for the improv comedy troupe will need to schedule a 10-minute virtual audition appointment. Former troupe members will be required to re-audition.

The audition will consist of several different interview improvisational theatre exercises. When your audition appointment is confirmed you will be given a Zoom link and a specific audition appointment time for that Saturday. Please wait in the Zoom Waiting Room until your appointed time, and do not share this Zoom link. We will be evaluating applicants on their vocal and physical choices, fearlessness, inventiveness, sense of humor, and potential troupe chemistry.

The final troupe list will be posted by 6:00pm on Saturday September 18th.

REHEARSALS

TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES will rehearse every Friday evening from 7:00-9:00pm (beginning on Friday, September 25th).

Please note that Peacock Players will host a mandatory virtual Zoom Orientation Meeting on Monday, September 21st from 6:00-6:30pm prior to the first rehearsal. All troupe members and parents should plan to attend this Zoom meeting in order to orient everyone involved with our new COVID-19 safety processes and protocols.

Troupe members will be called to all Friday rehearsals, and should plan to make themselves available for this weekly rehearsal time. Please note that rehearsals for TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES will combine both virtual and safe socially distanced in-person rehearsals throughout the semester.

PERFORMANCES

TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTLiES is scheduled to perform at least two public performances during the first semester: Saturday, October 24th at 2:00pm outdoor in Nashua’s Library Park, and a Facebook livestream performance TBD in January 2021. TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES may also be asked to provide outreach performances and workshops throughout the season if requested.

Center Stage

Auditions are open for middle school students between 11-14 years of age. In order to comply with NH and CDC Guidelines regarding safe social-distancing protocols due to the outbreak of COVID-19, limited troupe positions are available this season.

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS

This year, due to the pandemic, all students interested in auditioning for this musical theatre troupe will need to film themselves performing a brief one-minute musical selection from Broadway/Musical Theatre repertoire that compliments both their singing and acting talents. Please sing along with a backing track or pre-recorded accompaniment, if possible as singing a cappella is strongly discouraged.

CENTER STAGE will rehearse every Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm (beginning on Tuesday, September 22nd).
