WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS

Please memorize and prepare a short musical selection in the style of the show that compliments both your singing and acting talents. Singing from the show is acceptable. Please bring a headshot or photo, a resume or list of theatre experience (if any), and your own sheet music – as an accompanist will be provided. Please note: that if eligible you may audition for both MATILDA JR. and HEAD OVER HEELS at the same audition time, with the same musical selection.

Peacock Players Mainstage Callbacks will be held by invitation only.

If you are unavailable to attend callbacks on this date, please inform the audition monitor and production team during your initial audition.

The invited Callback List will be posted by midnight following the second night of auditions.
The final cast list will be posted by 6:00pm on Friday, September 3rd .

REHEARSALS

MATILDA JR. will rehearse Thursdays and Fridays from 6pm-9pm, and Sundays from 1pm-5pm (beginning on Thursday, September 9th). Please note Peacock Players will host an orientation meeting for both MATILDA JR. & HEAD OVER HEELS on Wednesday, September 8th from 6pm-7:30pm, prior to the first rehearsal.

Please note that actors may or may not be called to all rehearsals, but should plan to make themselves available. Please be prepared to list all known rehearsal conflicts on your audition form.

Tech Week rehearsals begin on Sunday, October 10th with an extended rehearsal schedule. Tech week rehearsals are scheduled for Sunday, October 10th through Thursday, October 14th from 5:30pm-10pm.

All cast members are expected to attend all Performances and all Tech Week rehearsals.

Special School Day performances may be scheduled in between the weekends of performance. All cast members are expected to attend all Performances, School Day Performances, and all Tech Week rehearsals.

If cast in the production – all cast members will be responsible for providing a $150 educational production tuition.

Open auditions for Ages 14 – 18. All Troupe positions available.

WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS

All students interested in auditioning for the improv comedy troupe do not need to pre-schedule audition appointments (as they do for Mainstage productions). Students interested in auditioning are simply asked to show up at 10:00am sharp on Saturday, September 11th. Please be prepared to stay the entire time (until 1:00pm), but we may release people earlier as audition requirements allow. The audition will consist of several different group improvisational theatre exercises, so please dress comfortably and be prepared to move freely. We will be evaluating applicants on their vocal and physical instruments, fearlessness, inventiveness, sense of humor, and potential troupe chemistry.
