WHAT TO PREPARE FOR AUDITIONS

Please memorize and prepare a short musical selection in the style of the show that compliments both your singing and acting talents. Singing from the show is acceptable.

Please bring a headshot or photo, a resume or list of theatre experience (if any), and your own sheet music – as an accompanist will be provided. Please note: that if you are between 12-14 years of age, you may audition for both WINNIE THE POOH and TUCK EVERLASTING at the same audition time, with the same musical selection.

“Walk In” auditions are always welcome, however they will be seen as time permits. Those with scheduled audition appointment times will be seen as close to their scheduled time as possible.

REHEARSALS

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids will rehearse Thursdays and Fridays from 6pm-9pm, and Sundays from 1pm-5pm (beginning on Thursday, September 6th). Peacock Players will host an orientation meeting for this production on Wednesday, September 5th from 6:00-7:00pm, prior to the first rehearsal.

Please note that actors may or may not be called to all rehearsals, but should plan to make themselves available. Please be prepared to list all known rehearsal conflicts on your audition form – as conflicts are considered when casting.

Tech Week rehearsals begin on Sunday October 7th with an extended rehearsal schedule. Tech week rehearsals are scheduled for Sunday October 7th through Thursday October 11th from 5:30pm-10pm.

All cast members are expected to attend all Performances and all Tech Week rehearsals.

TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES Improv Comedy Troupe

Open auditions for Ages 14 – 18. All Troupe positions available.

All students interested in auditioning for the improv comedy troupe do not need to pre-schedule audition appointments (as they do for Mainstage productions). Students interested in auditioning are simply asked to show up at 10am sharp on Saturday, September 8th. Please be prepared to stay the entire time (until 1pm), but we may release people earlier as audition requirements allow. The audition will consist of several different group improvisational theatre exercises, so please dress comfortably and be prepared to move freely. We will be evaluating auditioners on their vocal and physical instruments, fearlessness, inventiveness, sense of humor, and potential troupe chemistry.

REHEARSALS

TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES will rehearse every Saturday from 10:00am-1:00pm (beginning on Saturday, September 15th). Troupe members will be called to all Saturday rehearsals, and should plan to make themselves available for this weekly rehearsal time. Please be prepared to list all known rehearsal conflicts on your audition form.
