2025 Vacation Theatre Camp Staff

Join our February and April Vacation theatre camp staff! We are looking to hire a caring staff with a background in musical theatre to help us bring our beloved summer theatre camp programming to life.

Camp Sessions:

Monday – Friday, February 24th – February 28th

Monday – Friday, April 28th – May 2nd

 

Applications will open late September. Hiring will begin in October/November.

2025 Summer Theatre Camp Staff

Join our summer theatre camp staff! We are looking to hire a caring staff with a background in musical theatre to help us bring our beloved summer theatre camp programming to life.

Training Days:

July 8th, 10th, and 11th

Camp Sessions:

Monday – Friday, July 14th – August 15th

 

Applications will open in October. Hiring will begin in January/February.

Camp Director 

The summer camp director is the facilitator of all summer theatre camp-related preparations and manages the day-to-day operations of the camp. This role has a stipend of $750 per week for the 5 weeks of camp and $750 for the week before camp for training and preparations. 

Camp Day Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm

Responsibilities:
  • Managing all parent contact information and paperwork
  • Create a positive, fun, and welcoming environment for their campers. 
  • Communicates with families about important events, deadlines, and shares media (video/photo)
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the camp, including direction of staff, activities, and behavior management.
  • Ensuring each group is functional, positive, and working cohesively
  • Leads the weekly showcase that performs at the end of each week.
  • Supports staff growth and collaboration
  • Assist counselors with behavior management, activity support, etc.
  • Act as a substitute if needed.
  • Lead community-building activities, such as theme days and weekly activities.
  • Maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with all campers and coworkers.

Counselors

Counselors are in charge of the day-to-day activities of their group. They will work with their Assistant Counselor to create 10-15 minutes of performances that showcase their campers within each weekly theme. The role has a stipend of $560 per week for the 5 camp weeks, plus $300 for 3 training days. 

Camp Day Hours: 8:45am – 5:00pm 

Responsibilities
  • Create a positive, fun, and welcoming environment for their campers. 
  • Craft 10-15 minutes of performance that highlights all campers for each weekly showcase
  • Lead workshops/activities/games during choice activity blocks
  • Manage camper behaviors and interpersonal dramas with leadership and empathy.
  • Communicate issues in a timely and respectful fashion
  • Maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with all campers and coworkers.
  • Lead the direction, music direction, and/or choreography of the group’s weekly showcase performance with your assigned assistant counselor.

 

 

Assistant Counselors

Assistant counselors support counselors daily with managing campers and activities and will perform tasks as appropriately delegated by the lead counselors. The role has a stipend of $340 per week for the 5 camp weeks, plus $200 for 3 training days.

Camp Day Hours: 8:45am – 5:00pm 

Responsibilities
  • Support the work of each camp group.
  • Create a positive, fun, and welcoming environment for all campers. 
  • Assist with artistic workshops/activities/games during choice activity blocks
  • Assist with camper behaviors and interpersonal dramas with leadership and empathy.
  • Communicate issues in a timely and respectful fashion
  • Maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with all campers and coworkers.
  • Support the direction, music direction, and/or choreography of the week’s showcase performance.

Floating Counselor

The floating counselor is a part-time counselor who supports the daily camp activities as needed. They may act as substitutes if needed and will get to know each group throughout the week as they support the activities of the day. The role has a stipend of $340 per week for the 5 camp weeks, plus $200 for 3 training days. 

Camp Day Hours: 12:00pm – 5:30pm 

Responsibilities:
  • The PM Counselor assists with afternoon activities and rehearsals and aftercare. They will spend time with all groups but assist most where additional help may be needed. They will also support the camp director with executing the Friday showcase.
  • Support the work of each camp group.
  • Create a positive, fun, and welcoming environment for all campers.
  • Lead workshops/activities/games during choice activity blocks
  • Manage camper behaviors and interpersonal dramas with leadership and empathy.
  • Act as a substitute as needed.
  • Communicate issues in a timely and respectful fashion
  • Maintain appropriate relationships and boundaries with all campers and coworkers.
