Biography

Emma Benson grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire and would make the thirty minute commute to Nashua several times a week to get her theatre fix at Peacock Players while in high school. Emma appeared in numerous Mainstage productions, and even served as a student instructor for a musical theatre dance styles class – along with choreographing several junior musicals. Peacock Players credits include: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s Tarzan, and multiple Christmas Spectaculars. Emma’s favorite experience while at Peacock Players was being a member of the TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES improv comedy troupe.

Emma graduated from Shenandoah University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Favorite college credits include: Noises Off (Poppy), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Logainne), and Lysistrata Jones (Myrrhine). Professional credits include: Hairspray (Penny), and A Chorus Line (Bebe). Emma can currently be seen on the national tour of Something Rotten! (Ensemble, u/s Portia). She would like to thank everyone at Peacock Players for their careful guidance, support, and for encouraging her to pursue a career in the performing arts.
