About the Workshop

The multi-award winning production team of Peacock Players upcoming Mainstage production of Legally Blonde is offering a one-day intensive audition dance workshop to help students prepare for upcoming auditions. Workshop participants will receive the professional edge on preparing for auditions, feedback and audition material suggestions directly from the production team, and one-on-one instruction while previewing and performing selected dance combinations from the production.

    About the Instructors

    VALERIE PSOINOS NELSON (Choreographer) is thrilled to be choreographing her twenty-fourth Mainstage production with Peacock Players. Valerie is a five-time New Hampshire Theatre Award-winning choreographer for her work on Peacock Players’ Mainstage productions of Heathers, Chicago, Spring Awakening, The Wedding Singer, and Peter Pan. She is a guidance counselor for Londonderry High School where she also served as the long-time director of the drama club.

    HENRY KOPCZYNSKIE III (Musical Director) is a pianist, accompanist, conductor, composer, vocalist, and vocal coach. He has served as Music Director for many theatrical productions throughout Southern New Hampshire. Henry holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Henry works in a very broad array of musical styles, from Baroque to Broadway. He has been honored at the New Hampshire Theatre Awards with the award for Best Music Director three times. Peacock Players credits include: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disney’s The Jungle Book, A Night of 1000 Stars, Forbidden Broadway, Honk!, 13 the Musical, A Christmas Carol, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Seussical, Disney’s Cinderella, Noises Off, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Les Miserables, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Into The Woods, Shrek the Musical, Christmas Spectacular, Disney’s Tarzan, Spring Awakening, The Addams Family, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Aida, Peter and the Starcatcher, Grease, Heathers The Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, Annie, Hairspray, Tuck Everlasting, and Christmas on Broadway, Newsies, and Little Women the Musical.

    KEITH WEIRICH (Casting Director) is a professional Equity actor from New York City, originally a native of Erie, PA. Broadway and National Tour credits include: My Fair Lady starring Richard Chamberlain, and Victor/Victoria. Regional Theatre credits include: Theatre Under The Stars (TX), The Fifth Avenue Theatre (WA), Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park (OH), The St. Louis Repertory (MO), The Orpheum (MA), The Fox Theatre (GA), The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PA), The Public Theatre (WV), The Tuacahn Amphitheatre (UT), the American Stage Festival (NH), and Stagecoach Productions (NH). For over thirty years, Mr. Weirich has performed in professional and regional theatres across the United States, Canada and Europe. He has a Bachelor in Fine Arts in both Theatre and Music from Otterbein College, in Columbus, OH. In addition to being a founding member of the Children’s Theatre Ensemble (PA), Keith has trained and worked with such prominent theatre organizations as the Pennsylvania Governor School for the Performing Arts (PA), the Chautauqua Theatre institute (NY), Stuart Howard Associates (NYC), National Artists Management Company (NYC), the Manhattan Theatre Project (NYC), the New Hampshire Theatre Project (NH), and the Music Hall in Portsmouth (NH), as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Theatre Awards, and as an active adjudicator and guest director for the New Hampshire Educational Theatre Guild. Mr. Weirich has produced over 95 Mainstage productions for Peacock Players, directing over fifty of them. Keith has been honored as a Top Three Finalist for Best Director at the New Hampshire Theatre Awards for the past thirteen consecutive years. Keith has received multiple New Hampshire Theatre Awards for Best Direction, Best Lighting Design, Best Scenic Design, and Best Original Playwright. In addition, Mr. Weirich was also honored as the 2013 recipient of the Children’s & Youth Theatre Award for his continuing dedication and guidance in theatre education.
