Meet Our Executive Director

Peacock Players is excited to announce that Elle Millar will become its Executive Director on June 1, 2022.

Elle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in leadership, business, teaching, and theatre arts, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocal Performance, as well as Master’s degrees in both Education and Business Administration. Elle comes to Peacock Players from Pennichuck Middle School, where she has taught for nearly a decade. Elle has also been the director of Pennichuck’s drama program for the past six years. Last year, she was a New Hampshire Fellow with the New Leaders Council, a nonprofit dedicated to training the next generation of transformational leaders across the country. Her involvement in theatre has run the gamut from directing and stage management, to performing in numerous productions.

“There is nothing that brings me more joy than helping others unlock something artistic inside them,” shares Millar. “Peacock Players has excelled at creating amazing theatre for young people for decades. My mission is to grow the organization so that more people benefit from what Peacock has to offer, from the smallest of small through to adulthood.”  Her years of teaching in Nashua’s diverse schools and her dedication to inclusion and equity will guide her policies as she leads Peacock Players into the future. “Theatre has the potential to be the most inclusive thing in the world. Theatre unites, teaches, engages, and moves us. What is creativity without inclusion?”

Elle’s experience in the nonprofit sector includes Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley, where she served as Teen Programming Director; Power Scholars Academy, a joint program through the YMCA and Nashua School District, where she worked for three years as a teacher and acted as the middle school site manager for a year; and as a marketing volunteer for Stepping Stones. Elle also has years of volunteer experience with various animal rescues.

As Director of Peacock Players Summer Theatre Camp 2022, the board is already seeing Elle’s passion and drive for youth theatre and education, as well as her collaborative and innovative leadership style. We look forward to seeing her creative insights realized in upcoming programming as we embark on our 47th season. Please join us in welcoming Elle to her new role at Peacock Players as we look toward the future together.
