Although based on L. Frank Baum's THE WIZARD OF OZ in which a little girl named Dorothy is abducted from her home by a tornado and transported to the magical Land of Oz, THE WIZ takes the classic fairy tale in an all-new direction with an exciting rock score, and a decidedly modern libretto that reframes the story in such a way that it seems somehow more relevant. THE WIZ is the winner of 7 Tony Awards including "Best Musical" and "Best Score", before it went on to become the popular 1978 film version featuring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross, Lena Horne and Richard Pryor

OCTOBER 15TH - 24TH
FridayS @ 7pm
SaturdayS @ 2pm & 7pm
SundayS @ 2pm

Directed by Mary Ellen Stafford
Assisted by Rachel Cerullo

Adapted by Joseph Robinette. Based on the children's classic by E.B. White.
The Children's Literature Association named this "the best American children's book of the past two hundred years," and Joseph Robinette, working with the advice of E.B. White, has created a play that captures this work in a thrilling and utterly practical theatrical presentation. The costumes and unit set may be quite simple-it's the story and relationships that make the show-or they may be as colorful and elaborate as you wish. All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be "a true friend and a good writer." Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign, which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your actors a great opportunity and your audience an evening of enchantment.

A grown-up story about growing up! When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, "13" is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.
