Theatre Classes Fall Session I
SATURDAYS
ACTORS IN ACTION
Ages 9-13; 9-11am; Tuition: $180
12 weeks September 10th - December 11th (No class Columbus Day or
Thanks Giving Weekend); Instructor: Vivian Appler
Explore classic literature through this dynamic out reach performance
class. Refine acting skills and gain valuable experience during
live shows performed in the community. Two shows are required for
all student actors. Prior Peacock Player theatre class or instructor
approval are necessary for registration.
MONDAYS
MASKS AND MORE!
Ages 11-14; 10am-12pm; Tuition: $150
10 week session September 20th - November 29th (No class Columbus
Day);Instructor: Vivian Appler
Gain practical experience in mask construction and mask performance.
Students design and construct their own mask creation and work on
theatrical performance techniques. The class culminates in an informal
show and share recital at session's end. Dress for mess and movement!
MUSICAL THEATRE I
Ages 7-9; 4-5pm; Tuition: $80
6 Week Session Sept 13th - October 25th (No class Columbus Day);
Instructor: Joy Iaquinta
Take a journey through the eleven elements of music and explore
musical theatre with the help of puppets, games and Mrs. Iaquinta's
box of toys. Learn how to get into character and sing and sell a
song all at the same time! A show and sing recital will take place
during the last class for friends and family.
MUSICAL THEATRE II
Ages 10-14; 5-6pm; Tuition: $80
6 Week Session Sept 13th - October 25th (No class Columbus Day);
Instructor: Joy Iaquinta
Learn the dynamics of becoming a musical theatre performer while
taking a journey through the history of musical theatre. Refine
vocal techniques such as harmonizing, proper pitch, and tone color.
Gain confidence during the musical theatre recital for friends and
family at the end of the session.
LITERATURE TO LIFE PLAYERS
Ages 14-18; Time 6pm-8pm: ; Tuition: $180
12 weeks September 20th - December 13th (No class Columbus Day);
Instructor: Vivian Appler
Discover the joy of performing for a live audience as you share
your love of classic literature in the community. Travel to different
venues and gain actual performance experience while refining acting
skills. Prior Peacock Player theatre class or instructor approval
is necessary for registration.
TUESDAYS
ACTORS IN ACTION HOMESCHOOL
Ages 9-13; 10am-12pm; Tuition: $180
12 week session September 21st - December 7th (There will be class
on Election Day); Instructor: Vivian Appler
Explore classic literature through this dynamic out reach performance

KINDERDRAMA
Ages 5-6; 4-5pm; Tuition: $80
6 Weeks September 14th -Oct 19th; Instructor: Holly Countie
An exciting introduction to the stage through theater games, improvisation,
creative drama, voice and story telling. Develop basic acting skills,
learn stage etiquette and behavior, and enhance creativity and self-esteem.
Includes a performance of a short play during the recital at programs
end.
KINDERDRAMA SR.
Ages 7-9; 5-6pm; Tuition: $80
6 Weeks September 14th -Oct 19th; Instructor: Holly Countie
An experience that will satisfy even the hungriest theater bug!
Explore theater art through a scripted performance, theater games,
and improvisation. Develop acting skills such as characterization,
voice, stage position, monologue techniques and stagecraft. A culmination
of the student's work is featured in a recital at the end of the
session.
WEDNESDAYS
HOMESCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE I
Ages 7-12; 1-2pm; Tuition: $80
6 week session September 15th - October 20th; Instructor: Alice
Hannon
If you can speak you can sing! Learn the exciting process and progression
of speaking to singing. Learn to sing in musical theatre style while
enhancing voice diction and vocal production. Combine characterization
with song during the musical theatre recital t the session's end.
HOMESCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE II
Ages 13-18; 2-3pm; Tuition: $80
6 week session September 15th- October 20th; Instructor: Alice Hannon

enhance any main stage production or audition. Learn to create interesting
characters while using proper voice and diction. A culmination of
skills learned will result in a musical theatre style recital during
the last class of the session.
THEATRE DANCE III
Ages 14-18; 5-6pm; Tuition: $80
6 week session September 10th - October 15th; Instructor: TBA
An advanced exploration of different dance styles used in musical
theatre dance. Combine characterization and exciting dance numbers
in the lively recital at the session's end.
THURSDAYS
MRS. JUNK BOX AND FRIENDS
Ages 2-5; 10-11am; Tuition: $80
6 week session September 16th - October 21st; Instructor: Emily
Piper
Join Mrs. Junkbox, in her recycled garb from newspaper bonnet to
a tablecloth and plastic bag skirt, and her junk box puppet pals,
including Pupsicola and Princess Tuna, in a weekly program for toddlers
and preschoolers and their caregivers. Each week, Mrs. Junk Box
will entertain the children with songs, junkbox puppets, a go-green
storytime and a recycled art project.
ARTS ACADEMY FOR HOMESCHOOLERS
Ages 7-12; 1-3pm; Tuition: $150
6 week session September 16th - October 21st; Instructor: Emily
Piper
Explore many artistic media in this two-hour program which combines
visual art, theatre, music, creative writing, and movement. Students
delve into a new theme every six weeks and will create art inspired
by that theme. At the end of each session, families are invited
to a "salon" where students will present what they have
learned and created.

ART OF THE ACTOR

6 week session September 16th - October 22nd; Instructor: Emily
Piper
What does it take to put on a play? Much more than the audience
knows! Learn the different skills needed to create a final production.
In this class, students will become directors, actors, costumers,
producers, designers, playwrites and more! Each week students will
participate in 15minute production meetings and then report to different
stations to explore all roles and actions necessary to complete
a production. Each themed, six week session will culminate in a
final completed 15minute production, complete with costumes, props
and set, for their family and friends.
FRIDAYS
THEATRE DANCE II
Ages 10-13; 4-5pm; Tuition: $80
6 week session September 10th - October 15th; Instructor: TBA
Liven up your dance techniques in this theatre dance class designed
to help students move with confidence on stage. Learn a variety
of dance styles that will enhance any musical theatre audition and
be featured at the recital at the end of the session.
THEATRE DANCE I
Ages 7-9; 5-6pm; Tuition: $80
6 week session September 15th - October 20th; Instructor: TBA
Move and groove to the musicals in this exciting introduction to
theatre dance. Learn basic dance combinations from different styles
of dance as you learn different dance techniques. Easy and fun for
everyone!
