KINDERDANCE with Katie Proulx
An introduction to the world of dance through movement games, creative exercises, exploration of dance styles and an introduction to movement vocabulary. Students flourish in a positive atmosphere of self-discovery while learning basic concepts of ballet, musicality, and rhythm, while discovering foundational and fundamental dance techniques. KINDERDANCE culminates in an exciting showcase performance for friends and family.

YOUTHDANCE with Katie Proulx

AUDITION DANCE I with Tamarah Brousseau
Improve your dance skills with this theatre dance class designed to help beginning and intermediate students audition with confidence. Through a variety of dance styles and degrees of difficulty, students will learn a different audition dance combination each week. Each audition combination will strengthen poise, coordination, and self-expression – giving students the ability for better execution at upcoming dance callbacks. AUDITION DANCE culminates in an exciting audition showcase performance for friends and family.

BALLET FOUNDATIONS with Katie Proulx
Develop solid ballet technique with an emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body, and use of arms. This class builds strength and coordination, followed by center exercises, culminating in a grand allegro combination and variation. Clear explanations of exercises and theory help students use the ballet vocabulary in a simple, practical way that leads to increased technical understanding, healthy physical development, and lifelong enjoyment. BALLET FOUNDATIONS culminates in an exciting showcase for friends and family.

JAZZ FOUNDATIONS with Katie Proulx
Jazz is a dance form that appeals to everyone because of its energy, variety, and vitality. This class introduces the basics of contemporary and classic jazz dance. Each class will begin with a warm-up to develop strength, flexibility, correct alignment and coordination, followed by progressions across the floor, to culminate in extended dance combinations. Students will explore a range of styles in both lyrical and percussive disciplines with a focus on jazz elements. JAZZ FOUNDATION culminates in an exciting showcase for friends and family.

AUDITION DANCE II with Shaina Schwartz

TAP with Shaina Schwartz
Tap Dance is a timeless art that combines dance and percussion. Tap dancers in musicals, movies, television, commercials, and concerts inspire us with their infectious rhythms. Beginning and intermediate students will explore the two traditions of rhythm tap and Broadway tap. Each class begins with warm up exercises that increase control, coordination, and rhythm, followed by across the floor exercises that teach dynamics, shading, phrasing, and musicality, concluding with extended rhythmic phrases and improvisation exercises. The goal is to develop tap dancers that are equally strong musicians, dancers, and performers. TAP will culminate in an exciting showcase for friends and family.
