KINDERDRAMA with Holly Countie
Ages 5-6 Tuesdays, January 8, 2008 – February 12, 2008, 4pm-5pm

Introduce your child to the rich experience of Kinderdrama. Kinderdrama offers creative play through a variety of Theatre Arts activities focusing on imagination, expression, and individuality. This is the perfect opportunity for children to explore and create with other children who share the same discovery. Space is limited.

6 week class Tuition: $80

KINDERDRAMA SR. with Holly Countie
Ages 7-9 Tuesdays, January 8, 2008 – February 12, 2008, 5pm-6pm

Continue to discover and explore the world of Theatre Arts with Kinderdrama Sr. This class is designed to challenge and expand the skills fostered in our Kinderdrama class. This is the ideal class for beginning and intermediate students that wish to discover theatre in a safe space for experimentation and education. Space is limited.

6 week class Tuition: $80

ACTORS IN ACTION with Holly Countie
Ages 9-13 Saturdays, January 12,, 2008 – April 12, 2008 (with 2 public performances the week of April12th), 9am – 11am

Actors In Action is a perfect blend of stagecraft, imaginative play, and performance experience. This intensive class focuses on the basic principles of acting, but adds the collaborative creation of a performance piece. Each session of Actors In Action explores a different play, and culminates in a public performance. Peacock Players is passionately committed to the cultural health of our region through leadership, collaboration, and arts education – and Actors in Action is an outreach program that helps to strengthen our community. Students must have prior experience with Peacock Players Mainstage productions, classes, or summer camp. Space is limited.

12 week class Tuition: $165

ACTING SHAKESPEARE with Timothy L’Ecuyer
Ages 12-18 & Adults Tuesdays, February 19th – May 20th, 5pm-7pm

This class will give students the opportunity to explore acting strategies and techniques specific to performing Shakespeare’s plays. Students will learn about interpreting Shakespeare’s textual clues and applying voice and diction to create a fuller, better realized performance. The class will work on Shakespearean monologues and selected scenes.

12 week class Tuition: $165

THE CLASS THAT DARE NOT SPEAK ITS NAME with Timothy L’Ecuyer
Ages 15-18 & Adults Tuesdays, February 19th – May 20th, 7pm-9pm

This dramatic literature class will offer mature students the opportunity to explore works written in the unique LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) canon. Students will read and analyze a variety of plays, films, and other media in several different contexts as well as doing some scene and monologue study from these works. A tentative list of plays to be covered includes Angels in America, Beautiful Thing, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Laramie Project, The Normal Heart, I Am My Own Wife, & Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Due to the mature nature of this class, students under the age of 18 will be required to present written permission from a legal parent or guardian.

PRIVATE MUSIC / VOCAL COACHING with Heather MacRobie
All Ages

Peacock Players’ Resident Artist, Heather MacRobie, will be available throughout the season to work with you – one on one – for upcoming show and college auditions. These lessons are designed to assist students in their choice of appropriate music, and helping you achieve the desired vocal technique – with plenty of practice working with an accompanist. Space is limited. Please email Heather Macrobie at hmacrobie@gmail.com to discuss lesson options and for specific information.

1/2 hour lesson Fee: $30

1 hour lesson Fee: $60

PRIVATE MUSIC / VOCAL COACHING with Jeffrey Prescott
All Ages

Peacock Players’ Resident Artist, Jeffrey Prescott, will be available throughout the season to work with you – one on one – for upcoming show and college auditions. These lessons are designed to assist students in their choice of appropriate music, and helping you achieve the desired vocal technique – with plenty of practice working with an accompanist.
