Alexandra Socha, who made her Broadway debut in Spring Awakening, will debut her solo concert Home on November 28 at The Duplex.
The 9:30 PM performance, featuring songs by Stephen Sondheim, Maury Yeston and Rodgers and Hammerstein, will focus “on what it is like to grow up in the theatre, be surrounded by a musical family, and how, no matter what, you will always feel at home on the stage,” according to press notes.
The singing actress will be joined by Darius Anthony Harper, Brady Lynch and Amanda Teneriello, who Socha performed with at Peacock Players while growing up in New Hampshire, with a special appearance by her mother, Joan Storey, and her father, Thad Socha. The concert will feature musical direction by Daniel Green with additional music arrangements by Deborah Abramson.
Socha made her Broadway debut in the Tony-winning rock musical Spring Awakening, where she replaced Lea Michele in the role of Wendla. Other credits include Nora in The Neil Simon Plays/Brighton Beach Memoirs, Merricat in the world premiere of We Have Always Lived in the Castle at Yale Repertory Theatre, Rachel in The Dream of the Burning Boy at Roundabout Underground (for which she received a Drama League nomination) and most recently as Daisy in the new Maury Yeston musical Death Takes a Holiday at Roundabout Theatre Company.

Congratulations to the all-new
TECHNiCAL DiFFiCULTiES Improv Comedy Troupe!
If you were not cast this time around, please do not get discouraged. As you are aware, the troupe only had a few select troupe positions open this season – and the troupe and I were very impressed by the turn out, and found it extremely difficult to select only a few new members. Please feel free to come back and audition for future Peacock Players Mainstage productions and Select Programs. In the meantime… remember you can still join in the fun and register for our classes to strengthen and improve your talents:
Improve Your Improv with Alex Giggey (Tuesdays 5pm-6pm)
&
The (All-New) Acting Studio with Keith Weirich (Wednesdays 4pm-5pm)
…are two classes still taking pro-rated registration. If interested in registration please contact General Manager Emerson Kelly at emersonk@peacockplayers.org.
If you were cast – please accept your role by emailing Troupe Director, Keith Weirich @ keithw@peacockplayers.org.
Peacock Players, New Hampshire’s premiere award winning youth theatre, revealed a new logo last week to celebrate the launch their 36th annual season. Peacock Players students, parents, alumni, volunteers, resident artists, staff and Board of Directors were in attendance at Peacock Players annual open house meeting, where the new logo was unveiled – along with the highly anticipated renovation of Peacock Players new upstairs studios and apartments at the 14 Court Street theatre. Attendees were welcome to refreshments, door prizes, an introduction of Peacock Players’ new Board of Directors, exclusive previews of Peacock Players’ upcoming Mainstage productions, select programs, classes and Summer Theatre Camp.
Peacock Players Alumni, Matt Higgins (Class of 2010), designed Peacock Players new logo (pictured above). Matt is currently a graphic design and performing arts major at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia. Matt has appeared in several recent Peacock Players Mainstage productions, including Godspell, Forbidden Broadway, and A Christmas Carol.
Great job, Matt. Everyone at Peacock Players looks forward to showcasing our new feathers.
