YOUNG COMPANY
Peacock Players,
Young Company members are
encouraged and challenged in stagecraft, design, backstage production, and
performance, as well as share in the mentoring process for younger students as
camp counselors at our Peacock Players Summer Theatre Camp.
Each year, a limited group of
students (between the ages of 14 and 18) are chosen from an intense audition
and interview process. For more information regarding Young Company, please

THE YOUNG COMPANY COMMITMENT
During the 2008 Summer Season,
Young Company members will have an option of performing in our Family musical production
of Barnum.
Family members, alumni and friends of Peacock Players will join together to
rework this classic musical favorite based on the exciting life of circus
showman, P. T. Barnum. Barnum will
run for four performances from Friday, July 18th through Sunday,
July 20th. Barnum rehearsals will be held Mondays through Fridays
from 7pm-10pm, beginning on Monday, June 2nd.
Young Company members will
also be showcased in their own fully-mounted Peacock Players Mainstage
production. This summer Young Company will perform in the smash hit musical, Little
Shop of Horrors. Little Shop of
Horrors will run for four performances from Friday, August 1st
through Sunday, August 3rd. This production’s rehearsals will be
held Mondays through Fridays from 4pm-7pm, beginning on Monday, June 2nd.
This year Young Company
members will mentor other young students as camp counselors-in-training for
both sessions of Peacock Players Summer Camp, and will serve as the design and
backstage production team for the
THE YOUNG COMPANY AUDITION &
INTERVIEW
Auditions for Young Company
will be held Monday, May 12th & Tuesday, May 13th
from 6pm-9pm at 14 Court Street in Nashua, with invited only callback
interviews on Wednesday, May 14th between 6pm-9pm.
To schedule an audition, please email your name, age, phone number and
preferred audition date and time to Artistic Director Keith Weirich at keithw@peacockplayers.org.
Please prepare a short
musical selection and a one-minute monologue that showcases your singing and
acting talents. Singing from either Barnum
or Little Shop of Horrors is
acceptable. Please bring a headshot or photo, a resume or list of theatre
experience (on and off-stage), and your own sheet music, as an accompanist will
be provided.
